Clay Modeling – 2nd Piece

This was my second abstract clay piece that began in class.

  1. Your clay model has great length and height in its from. It balances symmetry and asymmetry and has a fun play on shapes. If I was making this clay model, I probably would’ve worked a little longer on blending the pieces together to make a more cohesive instead of assembled piece.

  2. This piece has some very interesting views to it. I like the one where it looks like a person leaning back on their hands. It makes the view what you are looking almost dead on to the “front” of the sculpture look like a motorcycle since you can still visualize what it looks like from the side. I would recommend smoothing the clay slightly more at the points of attachment.
