there does not seem to be an over all guiding principle to your approach to carving. you did move away from the rectangle and do have some interesting views, but the one mouthlike/eyelike cut dominates the sculpture a little too much. the profile in view 2 and 7 is for me the most interesting thing about the piece, perhaps because the cut side is down?.
I like how this piece emulates the qualities of carved clay- it really looks carved. I think the elements come across more 2d than 3d and deepening those carvings would help with sculptural depth.
