After taking in everyones suggestions during class, I found this to be the most effective way of placing the fairy lights in order to accentuate the rocks without taking away from them completely. I wanted some of the rocks to still be seen towards the tip of the roots in order to represent the way that the roots at the base of the tree are the most important and that symbolizes the rankings of importance. I really enjoyed being able to play with my environmental piece in a fun and playful way. Also, this is the same tree from my previous project, but it has changed and when I noticed that it started to change I let it change all the way before photographing because I think that helps highlight the importance of the trees roots, in terms of life.

The final product of this piece has come together beautifully. I love how you did not illuminate all of the rocks. It gets me to look past the lit portion and, as roots look, they expand into the darkness and beyond. I think it would have been interesting if you placed some of the fairy lights around the trunk of the tree to make it more of a part of the tree.

I appreciate how you took constructive criticism and edited your installation to make it better. It turned out beautifully! Congratulations.
I love what you did with the lights! I think it elevates your piece so well and now it can be seen in the night and day! It looks beautiful!
I really love the lights in this piece! I feel like it emphasizes the life of the plant and in a way brings the piece to life.
